The cities in the neighborhood of Arezzo are crazy good, I was going always to Anghiari for instance as a kid, Cortona and Camaldoli also are beautiful, and worth a visit.
In Camaldoli, you will find one of the nicest monasteries in the world.
Meanwhile, for the other cities in Tuscany, it’s easier to identify a typical dish like Florence has the Fiorentina, Livorno the Caciucco, etc…
In Arezzo, there are too many good plates that is hard to tell which one is typical.
Honestly, each time I go there my favorite dish is Bistecca con l’Acciugata it is a steak in a sauce of salted anchovies, capers, and extra virgin olive oil.

I Grifi is something that you will be able to eat only in Arezzo, as disgusting as it sounds it is definitely something you will eat only there.
