We can then walk toward Cripta di Sant’Anastasio, which is a suggestive underground space where you can still see the remains of the old Romanesque church and admire its old walls.
Inside the Museo del Risorgimento you will be fully immersed in a historical period in which Asti and all of Piedmont have made an important contribution.

I really love to go there and eat some Bagna Cauda Asti, I have no idea if the English word of the vegetable used for this dish exists, but in Italian, you can Google for “Cardo Verdura”.
This is a deliciously bitter and great vegetable that is used to prepare this awesome stew called Bagna Cauda and that can be found only here in Asti.
Another awesome dish you can find in this area is the Agnolotti ripieni which are big ravioli filled in with lamb meat.
The Carpionato di Zucchine is another delicious dish where the zucchini are fried and garnished with sage, mint, and garlic.
