Food In Messina
The culinary culture in Sicily is very strong, one of my favorite dishes from Messina is the spaghetti with anchovies and breadcrumbs.
I really love the anchovies, you can put them anywhere you want and I will eat them, also the bread in Italy is great and this dish combines all of these beautiful things.
As a second dish, the cauliflower fried with pasta is a delicious meal that you might want to try as well with no doubts if you like cauliflower and they usually add grated pecorino to make it yummier.
Stuffed Peppers With Rice And Cheese is a very good contour dish you can have that will actually fill you up.
Cheese and peppers are always a nice combination and with this dish, you will be able to taste what I mean.
If you didn’t notice anchovies are pretty popular in Messina, in fact here you can find also the Alici ‘Muddhicati, another great dish made off a lot of anchovies. This is just anchovies melted in breadcrumbs.
