Loading...Padova (Padua) is a nice Italian city 25 miles from Venice that deserves a lot of attention because of its art and architecture.
The city is located in the flat Venetian plain, but just a few miles away you can go on the Padova hills as well.
Not too far there are mountains and the city itself is built around the Bacchiglione River.
There are a lot of enchanting squares, monuments, and buildings. It’s quite common to find very important exhibitions in multiple museums around the city.
Padova is the most ancient city in the north of Italy, you can find baroque art, Roman art, modern architecture and the buildings from Palladio.
If you are ready to see some of the most important arts and buildings in history and a nice and calm city go visit Padova.
Padova is a tourist friendly city you can completely visit by just walking around.
It’s easy to reach with public transportations and if you have a car you can go look at the famous Padova hills and beautiful landscapes in the surrounding area.
The most illustrious painters like Giotto who have depicted the famous Scrovegni Chapel was a crucial painter in the styles of Western art.

I Bigoli are a thick kind of fresh spaghetti made with eggs usually garnished with cuttlefish black and anchovies.
The Codfish all Padovana is another awesome dish! Fresh fish from the Venice Laguna is always ready to be served with prepared with anchovies, raisins, pine nuts, cinnamon and bay leaves.
The Paduan Hen is another typical dish, in fact, this is very famous and envied worldwide, all the hens with the tuft are defined Paduan.
Goose Alla Padovana, Goose ham, Horse frays are also something very typical.
They have also many other dishes of course, but these are the most famous and typical of Padova.
Traditional desserts are the Zaéti e Crostoli and they usually have pinenuts inside and you should try them.
Padova is full of awesome buildings and architectures. People like Giotto and Palladio made several different things in the city.
The Taming of the Shrew, a comedy by William Shakespeare, is set in Padua.
Still, Padova is not a big town and it’s very tourist friendly and safe.
It is very close to Venice and it’s pretty stupid not to visit this town if you are in Venice.
Padova has a lot of canals, and it looks like Venice in certain areas of the city, and it’s quite fascinating at night.
Il Leone Marciano, a sign of loyalty to the Serenissima in Piazza Dei Signori similar is similar to the one in Venice.
