Loading...Rimini is a paradise city in fact there you will be able to find the beach, the hills, the mountains and some of the nicest Borghi in Italy.
The city is famous all over the world for the film director of “La Dolce Vita” Federico Fellini that was born in Rimini and you will find a lot of traces of him in town.
Rimini becomes a party destination in the summer thanks to the huge amount of hotels and huge beaches that you can go to.
There are many pubs and discotheques and people from all over Europe are gathering there to have fun during the summer.
Rimini has 140.000 inhabitants and it goes up to 1 million in the summer only from tourists. If you are ready to discover the best places to go and what to eat in Rimini you are in the right place.
Depending on what season you are visiting Rimini is always a good place to be, during the summer you might want to start your tour from the beach, while in the winter you might want to start from the city center.
If you are interested to explore a nice place we can start our tour from the Arco D’augusto, this is located in the city center and it was made more than 2000 years ago, it is the oldest roman arch in Italy.
Walking on the Corso D’Augusto on the opposite side of the arch you will encounter the Ponte di Tiberio which is one of the most well preserved Roman structures that we have in Italy.
Il Tempio Malatestiano or also known as the Duomo of Rimini is another place to visit for sure in Rimini. Here you will find works by Leon Battista Alberti, Piero Della Francesca, Giotto, Giorgio Vasari, and Agostino di Duccio.
Not too far from the Ponte Di Tiberio, you will be able to find the super cute Borgo San Giuliano, here you will find colored houses and painting on the wall talking about dialect stories and facts about Rimini.
Not too far from Borgo San Giuliano in the city Center, you will be able to find La Domus del Chirurgo an archaeological excavation of 700 square meters that was probably the home of a Roman doctor.
Rimini is the city of The Malatesta family, in the city center you will a beautiful castle called Castello Malatesta and you can go inside and visit it for free most of the time.
They recently changed the city center in Rimini, and now despite the fact that is hard to find parking it is absolutely nice.
The surroundings of Rimini are according to me some of the best surroundings in the world. You will be able to find Borghi and little cities that will grab your attention for a lifetime.
For instance, 30 minutes drive from Rimini you can find the borgo of San Leo this is just one of the dozens of places you should visit around Rimini.
Another few places with a nice view and awesome city centers are San Giovanni in Galilea, Torriana, Saiano, Pennabilli, Gradara, Verucchio.
Not too far from Rimini, you can also find the country of San Marino and you will love to go there and explore the beauty of this place. You will enjoy more this trip with a car, in fact, near Rimini, there is also a mount called monte Carpegna where you will be able to go ski during the winter.

Food in Romagna is awesome, in Rimini, they are doing great with seafood since it is a city on the beach. It will be very hard to find a place where you will eat bad food, everywhere you go you will eat the best food of your life.
There are many dishes in the region Romagna and in Rimini but something that you will see pretty much everywhere while there is Il Cassone, sometimes called Crescione in the nearby cities.
This is like a Piadina made with a dough of flour, water and salt-filled in with several different things.
There are many different filling available and you will be able to eat a fast and great dish that will cost you only a few bucks when in Rimini.
Other dishes that you will eat there will be the tagliatelle al ragu, i gnocchi al ragu, la Piadina, and the Passatelli.
If you are in Rimini for the summer you want to go eat some Tagliolini Allo Scoglio and Brodetto di Pesce in some restaurants on the beach, although according to me the best restaurant is called “La Nonna” and is halfway from Rimini and San Marino on the hills.
If you are looking for the best traditional food restaurant my advice is to go to “Zaganti” which is located 20 minutes drive in a town called Ponte Verucchio.

Rimini is the capital of summer tourism, in fact, there are more hotels than houses on the waterfront road and the population increases considerably during the summer.
