Trento is located in an area crowded with lakes and rivers where you can go fishing and relax and see the beautiful mountains around.

Trento is also a nice location if you are trying to go skiing and hiking, in fact, some of the most popular skiing destinations are located nearby Trento.

Trento is the city that will enchant you with its delightful historic center, the Roman-Gothic buildings, the Buonconsiglio Castle and the Renaissance buildings.
Let’s start from the castle then, which is located in a beautiful square in front of a beautiful fountain and amazing tiles on the floor.
The castle of BuonConsiglio is beautiful from the outside and even more fascinating from the inside. The starting point for your visit to Trento should be this castle.
The dome of Trento is also very nice and it looks like they are doing great maintenance to it so that it seems like they have built it yesterday.
Then if you want to have a look at other parts of the city you can go in Via Belenzani where you can find nice restaurants, flowers, fresco painting on the walls and a serious medieval atmosphere.
MUSE is a famous museum in Italy, it will be slightly different from other museums especially on the way the arts are presented.
You can find a section with awesome birds and you will see some many hanging on the ceiling.
Lake Garda is also not very far from Trento, in fact, Rovereto and Riva del garda are two awesome destinations only a few minutes drive from Trento.
Rovereto is another important city near Trento and there you can find a nice museum called MART designed by Mario Botta.

The Spaetzle are irregularly shaped Gnocchi (dumplings) prepared with flour and eggs and sometimes spinach are added to give it a green color.
Canederli, like in Bolzano are a typical dish of the region, these Canederli are made with different things. Someone put inside of the Canederli meat, vegetables or speck.
The Canederli are very yummy and very cheap to make as well.
Polenta e Capus is another traditional dish, in fact, polenta is one of the most popular meals in the mountains. Capus is nothing else than a particular kind of cabbage available in the region.

I have almost forgotten, but the biggest and most famous dessert in the region is called Strudel.
You can find strudel also in Germany and in many nordic places but no one will beat the one you can find in Trentino.
Trento is a very livable and pretty city located in between the mountains and famous ski resort destinations.
