It looks like that everything in Nuoro starts from the mount Ortobene, this is not a real mountain because it is only 3133 feet (953 meters) high.
Sardinia is quite flat and this is one of the tallest cities in Sardinia and with a touch completely different from all the other cities you might have visited on the coast.
The center of Sardinia is very wild and weird, you will find a lot of places completely abandoned and it looks like the center of Australia but better.
From the mount Ortobene, you will be able to find a lot of trails and hike paths crossed by rivers and cool spots to walk around.
The Museo Etnografico is one of the biggest museums in Sardinia together with the Museum Man which is the most popular attraction in Nuoro.
Inside of the Museum Man, you will be able to find works belonging to contemporary Sardinian art.
In the city center, you will find a very nice cathedral called Cattedrale di Santa Maria Della Neve, where you can find a 1600 painting depicting the Dead Christ attributed to Alessandro Tiarini.
In the deep heart of Sardinia, a few kilometers from Nuoro there is a particular place wrapped in a mystery where time seems to have stopped.
The village of Tiscali rises on the doline walls and is not visible until when inside of the cavity.
The site inhabited in the pre-Nuragic age is formed by two agglomerates of circular or oval-shaped huts dating back to the 15th and 8th centuries BC.
