Ragusa is also called Ragusa Ibla and is not too far from some other Sicilian cities such as Gela, Siracusa, Agrigento, Avola (famous for the wine Nero D’Avola) and Noto.
Noto is another very beautiful and small-town worth to visit if you have time, and then, of course, visit Siracusa and Avola.

In Ragusa, you can find a lot of cheap places and street food, the cuisine Ragusana is very rich with cheese, ricotta, desserts, and awesome second dishes.

Personally I love simple dishes and I can’t do without Affucaparrinu, a type of biscuits with anise seeds.
If you have time to hop to the city of Ragusa in Italy you will experience a lot of things starting from the baroque art that is possible to see pretty much everywhere and the awesome food you will be able to eat in town.
The city is not too big and located in a nice position on the island. There are little cities like, Noto and Avola that are too cute to be not visited.

If you are in Sicily the best way to get around is by car because public transportation is nowhere close to good.
Road tripping through Sicily is a lot of fun and way better than doing a coast to coast in the US, trust me.
Try to do the circumference of Sicily and then go visit all these little cities and towns in the center of the island as well.
